Jem Finer A founding member of The Pogues, now working in experimental and popular music, film, photography and installation. An enduring fascination with time and space has been the impetus behind much of his work. He was given the PRS New Music Award in 2005 to build Score for a Hole in the Ground (in Kingswood, Kent), and is the creator of the 1000-year long composition Longplayer. His installation Still will be run over three nights in the Zen Gardens. For two years he left a camera in a tree. Distilled from the 18,000 photographs captured, Still lies somewhere between a film and a photograph, a still image in a state of constant flux. Beautiful, meditative, silent and haunting.

12 Months of Neon Love If you're the type who stifles the urge to burst into song at any given opportunity (there's a lyric for all of life's moments) then you'll be in tune with the illuminated Neon Love signs nestled into the landscape at Nova festival. They are the work of artists Victoria Lucas and Richard Wheater, who created a different sign every month for a year in celebration of Leeds' heritage – the city was once alight with neon signs, manufactured in the city itself. All 12 original pieces were all sold at auction this February but we've been lent 4 for Nova.
